Lottery Competition

Article Overview

This guide provides step-by-step instructions for setting up a lottery competition in Amplify. Lottery competitions add an element of chance, where anyone can win a prize regardless of performance. Top contributors earn more tickets, increasing their odds, but every seller has a shot with just one ticket. It's a fun way to reward participation and keep the team engaged!

TIP: users must be an Amplify admin/owner or have the competition permission enabled in order to perform the following functions.

Part 1: Lottery Competition

This part will demonstrate how to set up a lottery competition within Amplify. 

• From the Amplify Web App, navigate to "Competitions" -> select "+ Create New".

• Select "Lottery" -> click "Create Lottery Competition".

• Complete the following items to set up your competitions:
  • Title: Give this competition a name.

• • Description: Provide a description/objective of the competition.

• • Theme: select the theme for reps to track their progress and view results.

• • Step 1: Who is Competing?
    • Select which user(s) will be competing in this competition.

• • Step 2: What would you like to compete on?
    • Select the metric(s) that is going to be tracked and count toward the competition.

• • Step 3: When is it?

• • Step 4: Can users obtain multiple prizes?

• • Step 5: Choose your prizes and winners.

• • • Users can choose how may prizes they want to give away in a competition (1, 2, 3, or other). Prizes can either be "Custom" items or "Coins".

• • Step 6: Review your advanced options.
    • Advanced options include privacy options and the ability to choose to show the Top "X" performers.

• A completed Lottery Competition will look like the screenshot below.
• Click "Save and Publish" or "Save as Draft" to save your changes.

• If publishing -> edit the Publish Settings:
  • Playlists: select the playlist the competition slide should be added to.
  • Feeds: select the feeds you want the competition to appear in.
• Click "Save and Publish".

• Your new lottery competition will then display under the list of "Active" or "Drafted" competitions.
  • Tip: click the three dots to the right of the listed competition to "Edit", "End", or "Delete" a competition.

Part 2: Lottery Competitions on Mobile

This part will briefly review how lottery competitions appear in the Amplify mobile app.

• Active lottery competitions can be viewed from the Amplify mobile app by selecting the three line "Menu" in the bottom right -> selecting "Competitions".
• All active competitions will be visible.

• Selecting the competition allows users to view that competitions details (start day, competition rules, available prizes, and participants).

Pro Tips

• To build anticipation as sellers earn their tickets, run multiple prize drawings for different reward tiers to maintain engagement throughout the competition.
