  • Updated

Article Overview

This article covers how to view the Proximity Indicator for leads and how to see where a user was located when they create and update the status of a lead. This information is logged regardless if the feature is toggled on or off.

TIP: A user's Role will need to have the "View Leads" permission enabled in order to view the Proximity Indicator on other user's leads.

Part 2: Viewing Proximity Indicator

This part will demonstrate how to view Proximity Indicator in the SalesHub Map on mobile devices (iOS).

  • Once the proximity indicator settings has been enabled, users will be able to see a small icon in the upper right corner of each individual lead indicating how close the rep was to the lead when it was last updated.
  • There are 4 different statuses for Proximity Indicator:
    • Green Check Mark: the user was less than or equal to 25 meters from the lead when it was last updated.
    • Yellow Double Arc: the user was greater than 25 meters and less than or equal to 100 meters from the lead when it was last updated.
    • Red X: the user was farther than 100 meters away from the lead when it was last updated.
    • Gray Question Mark: indicates that the location of the user could not be determined. Typically, this icon will appear when the user's location services are not enabled or when the leads were imported from the Web App.

  • The Proximity Indicator can also be viewed within each lead.
  • Select an existing lead -> click the "See Activity"

  • This action will take you to that lead's activity tab and display a history of lead ownership and status changes.
  • To the right of each recorded change, the proximity indicator will log the location of whichever user modified or created the leads.
    • Note: it is independent of the lead owner (i.e. a manager could modify the status of a lead and it would log the manager's location, not the lead owner's location).

  • Selecting the proximity icon will take to to a map view where users will be able to see, specifically, where the user was when they made the change/update.
  • In the attached example, the user's location is displayed on the left and the location of the lead is on the right. This is where the user was when they updated the status of that lead.
