This guide provides detailed instructions on how to edit an existing Board in the Amplify Dashboard. It covers accessing the Dashboard, managing Boards, and adjusting Board settings such as title, description, access level, filters, and more.
Part 1: Edit a Web Board
This part will demonstrate how to edit Web Boards within Amplify.
- To edit an existing Board in Amplify, start by accessing the Dashboard from the left side menu.
- In the Dashboard, click on "Manage Boards" to view all created Boards within your company.
- From "Manage Boards" page, users will be able to edit boards that display on the Web (Web Boards) and boards that display on the Mobile App (App Boards).
- Select the Board you wish to edit by clicking the "edit" button adjacent to the Board's name.
- There are 3 settings within each board:
- General: set a board title and description, default the first data shown to the current user, and select an icon that will identify this board.
- Title: the title of your board.
- Description: the description of your board.
- Default Period: set the default period for data to display (current week/month...).
- Category:
- Icon: select an icon to identify this board.
- Board Access:
- Teams/Departments: select the team(s)/department(s) allowed to see the board.
- Access Level: select the user access level needed to view the board.
- Filters: set the available filters for your board. These filters will be made available to the board users.
- Resource Intensive: when checked, users won't be able to add any more widgets to the board. Leaderboards on user level will be cached.
- User Filter: allows users to filter board data at the user level.
- Team Filter: allows users to filter board data on the team level.
- Activity Filter: allows users to filter board data by activity.
- Show Current User's Data by Default: when enabled, the board will display the current logged in user's data by default.
- General: set a board title and description, default the first data shown to the current user, and select an icon that will identify this board.
- When your satisfied with your board's setup, click "Save Changes" in the upper right corner.
