This article will go over how to import a ".CSV" file as Customer Pins. Doing so allows your account to view customers by utilizing the Customer Locator feature. Please ensure that you have set up your Customer Locator settings.
TIP: The ability to import a list of customers as customer pins is only available to users whose role has the "Data Import" permission enabled.

Part 1: Preparing Your File to Upload
This part will cover how to begin the import process by making sure you file is organized properly and correctly formatted.
- You file should be in a Comma Separated Value (.csv) file.

Importing as customers Columns you should have on your file include:
- Full Name (John Doe)
- Address 1 (45 Washington St.)
- Apt/Suite
- City (Salt Lake City)
- State (Utah/UT)
- Postal Code (84048)
- Sample screenshot of a .CSV file:
- Note: Customer Pins will only import First/Last Name, Address, Apt/Suite, City, State, and Postal Code.
Part 2: Importing as Customer via the Import Tool
This part will cover how to import a list of customers as customer pins using the web app import tool.
- From the Web App, navigate to "SalesHub" -> "Import".
- In the upper right corner of that page, select "Import" -> "Customers".
- Select the .csv file of customer information from your device, or drag and drop it onto this next page.

After uploading your file, you'll be asked to map or confirm the mapping for the incoming and destination fields.
- Incoming Fields are the "columns" from your .csv file.

Destination Fields are the fields in SR.
- Note: You do not need to map every incoming field to a destination field, only the necessary fields.
- Once you've mapped the incoming fields to destination fields, click "Continue" in the upper right corner.
- You'll then get a view of all the data that is to be imported.

Invalid cells of information will be highlighted red. To quickly filter for the invalid cells, select the "Invalid" option near the upper right hand side of the screen. This will display only rows containing an invalid cell.

Hovering over an invalid cell will provide a description of why that information is invalid. You will need to correct the invalid cells or the information will not be imported properly. There are 3 ways to correct invalid cell data in the import tool:
- Users can individually edit cells by clicking the invalid cell and making the correction manually.
- Users can use the "Transform" option to make changes to invalid cells in bulk.
- Users can also select the three dots found in the column name (they will appear when you hover your cursor in the column name) and select "Find and Replace" to correct cell data.
- Note: it's recommended to make adjustments to potential invalid cells on your file before importing for a streamlined experience.

Hovering over an invalid cell will provide a description of why that information is invalid. You will need to correct the invalid cells or the information will not be imported properly. There are 3 ways to correct invalid cell data in the import tool:
- After correcting the invalid cells, click "Submit" in the upper right corner to import the file.
- Once submitted, your file will appear as an imported item under "SalesHub" -> "Import".
Part 3: Delete an Imported File
This part will demonstrate how to delete an imported file.
- From the Web App, navigate to "SalesHub" -> "Import".
- Users have the ability to delete imports by selecting the file's checkbox -> clicking "Delete". This action will delete all the customer pins from that import in your system.
- A prompt will appear if you attempt to delete an import. Deleting an import will delete ALL associated customer pins from your system.
- You're imported list of customers will then be removed from your SR workspace.
Part 3: Viewing Imported Customers on Mobile
This part will demonstrate how to view your new customer pins on the mobile app.
- Importing as customers will create a non-editable lead called a customer pin on top of each address from your file. Here is an example of a customer pin displaying on the mobile app:
- Customer pins are visible to everyone in your organization.
- However, the ability to view customer pins on the SalesHub map on mobile devices is managed under the mobile app filters.
- The "Customers" filter will determine whether or not customer pins appear on the map.
- A list of nearby customer pins is also available to users by navigating to "SaleHub" -> "Customers" on the mobile app.
- The Customer Pins that appear on both the map and in this list are dependent your current physical location. Admins will want to set the Customer Locator settings so reps are able to see pins within a defined radius of the rep's current physical location.
Pro Tips
- Make sure to adjust your Customer Locator settings so that you're reps are able to view customer pins in the mobile app!
- Files that do not have Lat/Long will be geocoded through Google Maps. This process can take multiple minutes to complete.
- Pro or Enterprise account also have the ability to automatically create a customer pin when a lead reaches a specified status with our Customer Pin Configuration.
