Part 1: Importing as Leads vs. Customers

This part will explain the information that can be brought into your system when importing as leads and customers.

  • Importing as Leads: this option will create a lead pin on the map for each imported name/address and will be visible regardless of where the user is located. Importing as leads does require you assign each name/address a Lead Owner and Status.
  • When importing as leads, users are able to import the following information:
    • First Name
    • Last Name
    • Primary Phone
    • Email
    • Address 1
    • Address 2 (Apt/Suite)
    • City
    • State
    • Postal Code
    • Lead Owner
    • Lead Status
    • Notes
    • Latitude
    • Longitude
  • Importing as Customers: the idea behind this tool is that a unique identifier "customer pin" will populate when a user is within a specified radius so you can name drop a customer to a potential client by saying, "Bob at the end of your street used our services and loved it." Importing as customers does not require each name/address be assigned a Lead Owner or Status.
    • When Importing as customers, users are able to import the following information:
      • First Name
      • Last Name
      • Address 1
      • City
      • State
      • Postal Code

Part 2: Viewing Imported Leads on Mobile

This part will demonstrate how to view your imported leads on the mobile app.

  • Imported leads will appear as regular leads on the mobile app.
    • Note: leads with a different lead owner will be bolded with the lead owner's user color.

  • You may need to adjust your shared leads filters to be able to view imported leads with a lead owner other than yourself.

Part 3: Viewing Imported Customer Pins on Mobile

This part will demonstrate how to view your new customer pins on the mobile app.

Note: Customer pins are only visible within a specified radius of the user's current physical location. Visit the Customer Locator settings to determine the radius reps can view customer pins.

  • Importing as customers will create a non-editable lead called a customer pin on top of each address from your file.
  • Customer pins have a distinct appearance. Here is an example of a customer pin displaying on the mobile app:

  • Customer pins are visible to everyone in your organization.
  • However, the ability to view customer pins on the SalesHub map on mobile devices is managed under the mobile app filters.
  • The "Customers" filter will determine whether or not customer pins appear on the map.

  •  A list of nearby customer pins is also available to users by navigating to "SaleHub" -> "Customers" on the mobile app.

  • The Customer Pins that appear on both the map and in this list are dependent your current physical location. Admins will want to set the Customer Locator settings so reps are able to see pins within a defined radius of the rep's current physical location.

Pro Tips

  • If you want to import customers but allow your reps to view the customers no matter their current location, we recommend importing as leads have having a designated "customer" lead status to mark the address with. Note, in this case, the lead would have a lead owner and the rep would need to adjust their own mobile app filters accordingly.
