Article Overview

In this Article we will guide you on how to setup Weather Reports and Alerts in the SalesRabbit platform. When configured you will be able to generate weather reports for any address in the SalesRabbit Mobile app and receive weather alerts as an SMS notification/Push Notification to your mobile device.


TIP: Weather is an Add-On, if interested in adding it to your account please contact your CSM or Customer Support.


Part 1 - Form Setup

1.) Create and add fields to your form.

  • From the SalesRabbit web app, go to Settings > Form Builder
  • Create a new form & name it "Pull Weather Report" (Or something similar)
  • Add a new section to the form, you can then drag and drop the lead fields to the form.
  • Use the fields listed below to complete your form.

2.) Turn on Custom Form Responses

3.) Click on the “Publish” button and confirm

 

Part 2 - Add-On Configuration

1.) Navigate to the Marketplace under "Add-Ons". (Must have admin access)

2.) Select the Weather Add-On Card 

(Note: Weather MUST be enabled for your account by Customer Service or your CSM)

3.) Navigate to the "Configuration" tab and click "Enable"

4.) From the Drop-down, select the form that you created in Part 1 and then click "Next"

5.) Enter Company Information and click "Next"

Note: The company information is used in the header of the pdf generation.

 

Part 3 - Configuring SMS Alerts/Push Notifications

SMS Alerts and Push Notifications can be enabled per state and sent to any users that have a cell phone number added to their SalesRabbit user profile. Select the states from the drop-down list where you would like to receive weather alerts.

Note: a phone number is not required to receive Push Notifications.

1.) Click on "Add State" to create a field to add a state.

2.) Repeat the above steps and add the states where you would like to receive weather alerts.

3.) Select the weather alert types that you would like to receive by checking the box next to the desired weather events. Then click "Finish".

4.) Add cell phone numbers to the SalesRabbit user Profile of any user who wishes to receive these alerts.

 

Part 4 - Submitting Report Requests In the Mobile app

Reports will be generated when a form is submitted from a lead. Generally, the report should be available within 2 minutes, but size of report and syncing time may vary. 

1.) Drop a lead on the map and fill in address details.

2.) Validate Address (Required) and Name (Optional) Information.

3.) Navigate to "Forms" and find the form created in Part 1.

4.) Submit the form. Address Information should populate from the Lead.

5.) Navigate to "Files" and download the PDF attached.

Note: Files to attach to lead within 2 minutes of generation, but depending on data size and sync times this response may vary. The file can be generated quicker but backing out of the lead and reopening it.

6.) Your report should be generated and resemble the following form:
