Article Overview
The following article demonstrates the steps required to set up SalesRabbit's HailTrace Marketplace integration.
TIP: This integration is only available to customers on SalesRabbit's Pro or Enterprise membership plans. Additionally, administrative access is required in order to access API keys and other credentials/settings in configuring this integration.
Part 1: Obtain a HailTrace API Key
This part will cover to obtain/create a HailTrace API key. For specific instructions from HailTrace, follow this API article from HailTrace's Knowledge Base.
- Navigate to the HailTrace personal settings (gear icon) in the left-hand bar.
- Select "API Keys" -> create a new API Key.

Fill out the form:
- Name: add a title (SalesRabbit).
- Select Application (SalesRabbit).
- Select Scopes: "Read Weather Events" scope.
- Click "Save".
- Copy this API key for part 2 of this article.
Part 2: HailTrace Integration Configuration Wizard
This part will demonstrate how to navigate the SalesRabbit Marketplace configuration wizard for the HailTrace integration.
- From the SalesRabbit Web App, navigate to "Integrations" -> "Marketplace" -> select the "HailTrace" tile.
- Select "Configuration" -> click "Enable".

HailTrace Integration Page:
- Select "New Authentication" to connect your HailTrace account using the API key created in Part 1 of this article.

- Use the "+ Add User" button to generate a list of users that have access to the map overlays.

- Enable email notifications (optional):
- This option enables users to receive daily alerts for new map overlays that have been uploaded to SalesRabbit from HailTrace. If selecting this option, use the "+ Add Recipient" button to generate a list of users (Name & email) to receive email notifications when new maps are added.
- Enable email notifications (optional):

- Select "Next" to move onto the next page of the configuration.

HailTrace Map Import Page:
- Enable HailTrace map import.
- Selecting this option will import existing HailTrace maps into SalesRabbit. When enabled, users will select how many days back you'd like to import maps from (options include 0, 30, 60, 90, or 180 days). All maps from within those selected days will be accessible from SalesRabbit.
- Note: the import will only run once and CANNOT be re-run. If you require more maps, you'll have to manually upload them into SalesRabbit Map Overlays.
- Enable HailTrace map import.

- Select "Finish" to complete the configuration wizard and apply any changes made.
- Your HailTrace Integration is now complete!
- If needed, users can edit the integration settings anytime by selecting "Reconfigure" when navigating to the HailTrace Marketplace integration tile.
Part 3: Accessing HailTrace Maps (Web)
This part will demonstrate how to access weather maps imported through the SalesRabbit marketplace configuration from the SalesRabbit Web App. For more information on manually uploading map overlays, to refer to the uploading map overlays help center article.
- From the SalesRabbit Web App, navigate to "Settings" -> "Map Overlays".

All imported HailTrace map overlays will be accessible from this map overlays page on the Web App.
- Note: maps can be manually uploaded into SalesRabbit with the "+ Add" button from this page.
Part 4: Accessing HailTrace Maps (Mobile)
This part will demonstrate how to access weather maps imported through the SalesRabbit marketplace configuration from the SalesRabbit mobile app map overlays filter. Visit our viewing map overlays in mobile app article for more information.
