Article Overview

This article will detail how view view user locations from the SalesRabbit iOS mobile app. User location allows profiles with the permissions enabled, to see geolocation time stamps of other users in increments of 10-15 min. This feature may be ideal to view rep's physical location in relation to the leads they place on the map to verify the leads created are authentic. It's also a safety feature to ensure companies are able to account for the physical location of reps.

TIP: Users may only view the locations of other users if they have allowed location services for SalesRabbit on their device. User locations are only tracked while the app is running.


Part 1: User Location Permission

This part will demonstrate how to navigate to and edit the permission that must be enabled in order to view user locations in the mobile app.

  • From the SalesRabbit Web App, navigate to "Settings" -> "Roles & Permissions".

  • Select the Role you'd like to edit the user location permission for.
  • Toggle the "User Locations" permission On/Off accordingly.

  • When this permission is enabled for your role, an additional filter will appear in the mobile app SalesHub titled "User Locations".

Part 2: Accessing User Locations - Mobile

This part will demonstrate how to view user locations on the SalesRabbit iOS mobile app.

  • After logging into the mobile app, navigate to "SalesHub" -> select the funnel "Filter" icon in the upper left corner.
  • If your role has the User Locations permission enabled, you'll have access to the "User Locations" filter.

  • Under the permission dropdown, users can edit the following:
    • Users: choose specifically which user's locations you'd like to view on the map.
    • From/To Date: set a date range you'd like to view user's locations between.
    • Quick Date: select a preset date range (today, yesterday, this week...).
  • Note: User Locations are only visible for a two week period, despite the longer "Quick Date" selections available.
  • After applying the correct User Locations filters, click "Done" to return to the regular map view.

  • User location markers will begin to populate on the map according to the filter parameters you set. 
  • User location markers will display a small profile icon circle, highlighted with their user color.
    • Note: if a user has uploaded a profile photo to their SalesRabbit account, the user location marker will display the profile photo. It will also be highlighted with their user color.
  • View the User Location time stamps by clicking the icon to view the user's name and time stamped location.

Part 3: User Location Path

This part will demonstrate how to enable the User Location Path View on the iOS mobile app. Enabling user location path in your mobile app settings will connect user location markers on the map with a line, detailing the path the user took between location markers.

  • From the SalesRabbit mobile app, navigate to your mobile app settings by clicking "Home" -> select the "Profile Icon" in the upper right corner.

  • Toggle On/Off "User Location Path" on your device.

  • Enabling "User Location Path" will connect the User Location Markers on the SalesHub Map with a line, displaying a "path" connecting user location markers.

Pro Tips

  • When both the "Shared Leads" and "User Locations" filters are applied, they can be difficult to stand out from each other on the map.
  • There is a feature in Settings that connects the geolocation stamps on the map with a line.
