Article Overview

This article details how to create and send messages in the SalesRabbit Android app. Messages can allow you to contact and coordinate with your others in your organization.

TIP: The permissions set for a given role determine what users will show in messaging.

Part 1: Navigating to Messages

  • In order to get to the messages/chat feature, click on the three stacked lines in the upper left hand corner.

  • Then click on "Messages."

Part 2: Starting a Chat

Once you are on your messages page, you will see your chat histories.

  • You can start a chat by clicking on the "+" icon in the lower right-hand corner.

Part 3: Select a User to Chat With

As noted at the beginning the list of users is determined by the permissions set for your role.

  • You should now see a list of the users in your company with whom you may start chats.
  • Choose the user you would like to chat by selecting the checkmark box on the right side of their name.
    • To create a group chat, choose the users you would like to add to the group by selecting the checkmark box on the right side of their name.
      • After choosing your desired group chat members, click "chat" in the upper right-hand corner. You can now give your group a name (optional).

  • After choosing your desired user(s), click "chat" in the upper right-hand corner and their name will appear at the top of your chat history.

  • You can start chatting with them by utilizing the chat box at the bottom of the screen.

Pro Tips

  • You can send pictures or files, by clicking on the + icon on the left side of your chat text box.
  • After you have your first group created you can build more groups, from existing groups, by utilizing the Group tab after creating a new message. From there select which groups you want to include in this new group message.
  • It is possible to edit the name of the group, as well as delete the group entirely.
  • The maximum number of users in a Group Chat is 100.
  • If your device is locked when you receive a chat message it will appear just like a text message.
  • You can swipe on that chat message to be taken directly to your conversation.
