Connecting DocuSign to SalesRabbit Web Connector:
1. Log in to DocuSign
2. On the Home page click on Templates. Under My Templates select the template you desire to connect through SalesRabbit.
3. At the bottom of the page where it says "Associated Power Forms" click on "Copy URL". You will see a green pop-up box at the top of the web page notifying you that the URL has been copied. If you have not yet made this template into a powerform then select MORE > Create PowerForm > CREATE. Once you create the PowerForm copy the URL for step 4.
4. Log in to the SalesRabbit Web App (app.salesrabbit.com). Click on Settings>Connectors. Click on the red "Create New" button.
5. In the pop-up box, for Connector Type select Web Connect from the down-down box. Then, give the connector a Name. Next, paste the URL that you copied from DocuSign. For Connected To Lead select "Required". This means a lead status pin has to be created (in the mobile application) in order to then connect to DocuSign. If you don't select "required" then you can get to the connector through Tools.
6. The last part is formatting the copied and pasted URL so that fields pass from SalesRabbit to DocuSign. *It is important that the Data Label set for the fields in DocuSign to pass to SalesRabbit match with the Formatting Headers in the SalesRabbit connector. THIS PART MUST BE PERFECT. BE SURE TO CHECK WORK AFTERWARDS.
*Note: The example below may not have the same data labels that you created in DocuSign.
In the example below, the Data Label for the "Last Name" field in DocuSign is set to "Customer_LName". The Formatting Header for last name field in SalesRabbit is "lead.lastName".
Therefore, this screenshot exemplifies how each passed field needs to be formed in the Web Connect URL.
A. The "&" symbol. This will start the beginning of a new field to be passed
B. The Data Label set in DocuSign for the field you wish to pass (see screenshot below)
C. The "=" symbol. This basically matches the two fields from DocuSign and SalesRabbit that are "talking to each other."
D. The Formatting Header for the field from Salesrabbit
7. Click "Save" once you are done formatting the URL.
Once your DocuSign is set up and connected to SalesRabbit, your reps can now utilize this great tool in the field! To see how it will work on iOS devices, click HERE. To see how it will on Android devices, click HERE.
