Connectors
The Connector feature allows users to access web content within the SalesRabbit app, or launch external mobile applications.
A very useful functionality with Connectors is the ability to submit lead data from SalesRabbit into web based forms via Web Connect, or send lead data to an external mobile application via App Connect.
To access this feature, access the SalesRabbit web app (app.salesrabbit.com) and click on Settings > Connectors.
Click the “Get Started” button and select what type of Connector you wish to use. You have two connector options that you can utilize. You are not limited to using only one option, as you may have multiple connectors active at a time.
Option 1:
When adding an App Connect, you will be taken out of SalesRabbit and access that specific link. Examples of App Connect features are: Social Media Pages (Facebook, Twitter, etc), Google Calendars, and others.
Option 2:
The Web Connect feature allows users to access an external website and host it within the SalesRabbit app. For instances where you will NOT be sending specific lead information, adding the URL is sufficient, and no other options are necessary (i.e. hosting the company website, or weather.com, etc.). For instances where you will be sending specific lead information, users must provide a GET Request link (i.e. DocuSign, CRM agreement). Users must use our URL formatting guide to ensure the connector tool works properly.
Please see the example below of a completed Web Connect setting (where we will be sending specific lead information). Notice how the option under "Connected to Lead?" is selected to "Required," meaning that we are telling the system that the information sent has to be connected to a specific lead.
To access the formatting help, click on “Formatting Help” to see the following guide:
The Web Connect can also include a level of authentication when accessing the link within SalesRabbit. For example: An access token or reps CMS ID can be used to indicate which rep submitted work through the web connect feature.
When in the app, a rep can access the connector from the lead (as seen below - iOS), or from the Tools section of the app (This will be accessible from the Hamburger Menu on the top left in Android).
If a user chooses to click on the button that takes them out of the SalesRabbit app, we can no longer support any headers used to create the lead connector.
Each company that wants to connect their app needs to contact their Customer Success Manager or the Support Team to whitelist their app.
