Since there are two ways to create a "Trigger" for SalesRabbit in Zapier, this article is focused on the "Action" portion - the Google Calendar platform receiving the fields by SalesRabbit.
Note: SalesRabbit has a "Sync to Default Calendar" option within mobile app settings that may be used to bypass Zapier all together if the lead setter fulfills their own appointments. In a setter/closer business model, Zapier is an option to streamline the appointment process.
Setting Up the Action: Google Calendar Event
After going through the steps of setting up SalesRabbit as the "Triggering" event (both forms and lead status triggers will work), choose the Google Calendar app to create the "Action."
You will be prompted to apply the "Event Type." We strongly recommend "Find Event" as the Event Type. This will allow appointments/events to be updated if needed.
Choose App & Event
After linking the appropriate work calendar you wish appointments to appear, you will be prompted to Customize the Event. Follow the steps in the video below to set up the Event correctly.
Customize the Event
Customizing Event Key Points
1) Apply "Find Event" as the "Event Type"
This will allow appointments to be updated, if needed, rather than duplicated.
2) Use "ID" as a way to find the event.
3) Make sure to check:
4) Include "ID" in the Description of the Event.
5) If the setter knows who the closer will be for the appointment, you have the option to list email addresses of closers in the form of Custom Lead Fields (created in app.salesrabbit.com > Settings > Custom Lead Fields) to automatically invite the closer in the attendees options of the Zap.
If you go this route, we recommend having email addresses listed in a drop down method for the rep. Only include the email address itself.
