Article Overview
This article goes over how to adjust the Sales Area Settings on your account. From here you can change the number of active areas that can be assigned to a rep, at any one given time. As well as adjust how long inactive areas will remain in the system before automatically being deleted.
NOTE: These settings are only accessible to admin users.
Part 1:
Navigate to the Area Settings.
- Log in to the SalesRabbit web app and navigate to Settings > Areas
Part 2:
Adjusting the maximum amount of area assignments
By default, each user can have a maximum of 1 area assigned to them at once
Users are allowed to have up to 10 active areas at one time.
To adjust the maximum amount of assignable areas:
- Select the areas drop-down and select the desired number of assignable areas
Part 3:
Adjusting the automatic Sales Area Deletion.
Here you can adjust how long an inactive area will remain on your system before being automatically deleted. This helps keep your map clean from showing older irrelevant areas. The maximum time limit is 36 months.
NOTE: This will only remove the drawn territory. Leads and other items are not removed.
To adjust the Automatic Sales Area Deletion time frame:
- Select the Automatic Sales Area Deletion drop-down and select the desired time
- Once you have made your adjustments, click "Save" in the upper right-hand corner.
Pro Tips
If necessary, add some pro tips here. This is where we would suggest things that are "best practice".
- For data optimization purposes, for those reps in the field, we recommend keeping the "User Sales Areas Allowed" between 1-3 areas. Especially for accounts that have DataGrid AI
- You may have as many unassigned Areas as needed on the map.
- "Automatic Sales Areas Deletion" will only delete unassigned Areas from the map. Nothing else in that area will be deleted.
