8. Proximity Indicator

  • Updated

Article Overview

This article covers how to view the Proximity Indicator for leads and how to see where a user was located when they create and update the status of a lead. This information is logged regardless if the feature is toggled on or off.

In order to see the Proximity Indicator for leads you will need to go to the 'Settings' page within the SalesRabbit home screen and enable it.

Note: You need to have the 'View Leads' permission turned on for your specific role in order to view the Proximity Indicator Pins for other users within your SalesRabbit account.

Once the 'Proximity Indicator' toggle has been turned on it will allow you to see how close your rep was to a lead when that lead was created or updated. There are 4 different statuses for the Proximity Indicator that you will see.

1) Green Check Mark (The sales rep was less than or equal to 25 meters from the lead when it was created.)

2) Yellow Double Arc (The sales rep was greater than 25 meters and less than or equal to 100 meters of the lead when it was created.)

3) Red X (The sales rep is farther than 100 meters away from the lead when the lead was created.)

4) Gray Question Mark (This indicates that the location of the user could not be determined. This usually happens when importing leads in the web application or if they do not have location services enabled on their device.)

You can also view the proximity indicator pins within each lead. Just tap on a lead, click the pencil icon, then use the 'Activity' tab within a lead to see the location of your sales rep when they created or updated the lead on the map.

Note: The proximity locator will log the location of whichever user modified or created the lead. It is independent of the lead owner. (i.e. A Manager could modify the status of a lead and it would log the Managers location, not the lead owner's location.)

After clicking on the 'Activity' tab you will be able to see which proximity status each lead update falls under on the right-hand side of the screen.

Once you click on the proximity icon on the right-hand side of the 'Activity' tab it will take you to the location on the map. There, you can see how close the user was to the lead when they created or updated it.
